Brian McElroy
Brian McElroy sits at the intersection of science and art. With an academic background in neuroscience and a 12-year career in live event production, design, and management, he seeks to curate educational media, injecting live events with accessible, interactable information. He has worked as DCC contracting staff for the School of Music since early 2022 as a production stage manager and designer for the opera program, and in 2024 was also recruited by Professor Cynthia Stokes into the current data, design, and production role for the Hearing the Invisible project. As a published neuroscientist and recent graduate of a professional development program in data science, he has coded in MATLAB, R, PHP, Apps Script, and Python for corporations, personal projects, live event technology, and academic research alike. He has run budgets and schedules for over 80 large-scale projects from $5k black-box events to $200k Fortune 500 workshops. He is also an actor and musician performing locally in Tucson. Brian would like to thank his family and friends for their support of his love of project work and seeking creativity at every turn.
